take this $0 thing on all your travels.

travel fills our hearts with joy and our brains with incredible memories, but we can’t deny that it sometimes also creates stress in our guts. while on retreat in costa rica recently, it was about mid-week that there was a little collective chorus of ‘more yoga for digestion, please!’

and this was the crowd favorite. while it’s widely promoted that twists are great for digestion, so is the balance of compression + lengthening of the torso achieved through this short standing flow that moves you beyond the basic twists.

take this short & sweet flow with you anywhere you wander, adding variations as needed. need more support for upcoming trips?

try these other simple digestive supports to travel well /

1. stay hydrated (especially if travel involves flying)

2. get your fiber

3. move your body! find time - even a few minutes - for a daily yoga or movement practice to keep your mind, digestion, and days in balance while you explore.

4. limit stress. even leisure travel can create a stress on body and mind. stay in tune by engaging in daily stress-relieving practices. make these practices short and sweet ways to create resonance with the space you are in.

5. sleep. keep as close to your regular sleep pattern as you can, or stay consistent with your vacation-mode sleep, if you’re crossing many time zones. good restoration = great exploration. don’t short yourself the ultimate experience by feeling groggy!
